About Rows
What it is
Rows is a spreadsheet that connects directly to other services. Alongside the usual formulas it has functions that pull live data from analytics, advertising, database and web sources, and AI functions that summarise, categorise or extract from a cell.
Why it's different
A normal spreadsheet needs somebody to paste fresh data into it, and that somebody eventually stops. Rows removes that step by fetching the data itself, which is the difference between a report that is current and one that is quietly three weeks old. It is not as deep as the established spreadsheets for heavy modelling, and moving an existing complicated workbook across is rarely worth the effort.
How people use it
Dashboards that have to refresh without anyone remembering to update them. Lightweight reporting pulled from several services into one sheet. Enriching a list of companies or contacts. Anything where the interesting part is the connection rather than the calculation.
