What it is
Numerous.ai adds AI functions to spreadsheets. You call it like any other formula inside Google Sheets or Excel and it fills cells by asking a model, so you can categorise, extract, summarise or generate text across thousands of rows.
Why it's different
Meeting people inside the spreadsheet is the entire point, and it is why this works where a separate platform does not: the data is already there, the person already knows formulas, and nothing has to be exported and re-imported. For bulk categorisation and cleanup it is the shortest path available. The limits are the spreadsheet's own — large fills are slow, costs mount with row count, and results vary slightly between runs, which is unsettling in a cell people expect to be stable.
How people use it
Categorising or tagging thousands of rows. Extracting a field from messy free text. Summarising survey responses in bulk. Cleaning inconsistent data. Run it over a sample and check every result before filling the whole column, because a prompt that is subtly wrong is wrong identically on every row and looks entirely plausible.
