About Akkio
What it is
Akkio is a no-code platform for predictions and analysis on tabular data. You connect a spreadsheet or a database, pick the column you want predicted, and it trains a model and produces forecasts and reports without any code.
Why it's different
It is aimed squarely at agencies and marketing teams rather than at data scientists, and the value is removing the modelling step for people who would otherwise never get one. The caution is that modelling was never the hard part: choosing the right question, having data that is not garbage, and not fooling yourself with a metric are the hard parts, and no interface removes them. A model with an impressive accuracy figure on leaked or unrepresentative data is worse than no model at all.
