Manus is a general-purpose agent that carries out multi-step tasks on its own. You give it an objective and it plans the work, browses the web, writes and runs code, produces files, and reports back with the result rather than with instructions for you to follow.
Why it's different
It draws attention because it attempts the whole job rather than one step, and on well-bounded research and analysis it genuinely finishes things. The honest limitation is reliability: long autonomous runs drift, and a confident report built on a misread source looks exactly like a good one, so everything it produces needs checking by somebody who knows the subject. It is also slow, it consumes credits quickly, and giving any agent broad web access on your behalf deserves thought.
