About Qodo

What it is

Qodo is a code quality platform built around review and testing. It generates tests for existing code, reviews pull requests, and applies an organisation's own standards to what it flags, working both in the editor and on the pull request.

Why it's different

Test generation is the part worth having. Writing tests for code that already works is the task everyone agrees matters and nobody does, and a tool that proposes a reasonable suite against existing behaviour gets past that reliably. The caution is what a generated test actually asserts: it captures what the code does now, bugs included, so a passing suite can lock in wrong behaviour. It is aimed at teams, and the individual tier is thin by comparison.

How people use it

Adding coverage to code that has none. Review on teams with agreed standards to enforce. Catching regressions in a codebase nobody fully understands. Read the generated tests rather than only the coverage number, because a suite asserting current behaviour is worth nothing when current behaviour is the problem.
