Playcode
Playcode is an AI agent that builds custom software, websites, and internal tools from plain text descriptions. It generates real code, deploys it to its cloud infrastructure, and includes backend, database, and hosting. Users can edit visually or via AI chat, and the platform scales from simple sites to full business applications.

About Playcode
What it is
Playcode builds working applications from a description and runs them on its own infrastructure, providing the database, hosting, file storage and background jobs. You refine by chatting or by clicking directly on the interface, and you can export the code.
Why it's different
Rolling the database back alongside the code is the feature that sets it apart, and it addresses the specific terror of this category: an AI change that quietly corrupts your data is unrecoverable almost everywhere else, whereas here the whole application rewinds. Being able to build from a phone is a genuine convenience too. It still meets the wall every prompt-to-application tool meets, where each change costs more as the project grows, and the hosted conveniences are the hardest parts to take elsewhere.
How people use it
Internal tools, dashboards, booking systems and simple products. Founders and freelancers shipping something client-facing without a developer. Prototypes needing a real database rather than a mock. Export the code and put it under version control once it matters, because owning the export is only useful if you have actually taken one.
