About Planner 5D
What it is
Planner 5D is interior design and floor planning software. You draw a layout, furnish it from a catalogue, and view the result as a 2D plan or a 3D render, with AI assistance for generating arrangements and finishes.
Why it's different
It is aimed at homeowners rather than professionals, and it is the most approachable thing in its category: somebody with no training can produce a plan and a recognisable render in an evening, which is exactly what is wanted when the question is whether a room will work. It is not a professional tool. Measurements and structural detail are not to a standard a builder will work from, the catalogue is generic rather than real products, and the better renders and items are paid.
How people use it
Planning a renovation before spending anything. Testing whether furniture fits before buying it. Showing a builder or a partner what you have in mind. Measure the real room properly and check the plan against those measurements, because the renders are persuasive enough to hide a mistake you would only find when something does not fit.
