About Clipdrop
What it is
Clipdrop is a collection of single-purpose image tools that run in a browser. Remove a background, delete an unwanted object, relight a photo, upscale a small image, turn a sketch into a picture. Each is one page that does one thing.
Why it's different
The appeal is that nothing has to be learned. Compared with doing the same job in a full editor, you upload, click once and download, which for an occasional task is the right amount of effort. The background remover in particular is strong on hair and edges. It is not an editor, though: there are no layers and no history, so anything needing several combined operations is the wrong job for it, and the free tier limits both resolution and volume.
How people use it
Cutting a product or a person out of a photograph for a listing or a slide. Removing a stranger from a background. Rescuing an image that is too small for the space. Lighting a product shot taken in poor conditions. Keep the original file, because the free tier often returns a smaller version than you gave it.
