About Maket
What it is
Maket generates architectural floor plans. You give it the constraints, such as plot size, number of rooms and which spaces should adjoin, and it produces layout options along with guidance on regulations and materials.
Why it's different
Producing many plausible layouts quickly is genuinely useful at the earliest stage, where the work is exploring arrangements rather than detailing one. It is a generator of options and not a substitute for an architect, which matters more here than in most categories: a generated plan carries no responsibility for structure, compliance, services or safety, and those are what a building actually needs. Local regulations also vary in ways no generator reliably captures.
How people use it
Early exploration of layouts for a plot. Testing whether a brief fits the space at all. Showing a client several arrangements quickly. Self-builders working out what to ask for. Take anything you like to a qualified architect before it goes further, because approval, structure and safety are precisely what this does not do.
