What it is
Humata answers questions across your own documents. You upload files, ask questions in plain language, and get answers with citations pointing back to where in which document the information came from.
Why it's different
Working across a set of documents rather than one at a time is what distinguishes it from the single-file tools, and citation back to the source is what makes it checkable, which is the right shape for the job. It competes directly with free alternatives that now do much the same thing, and that is the honest difficulty: the question is not whether it works but whether it does enough more than the free options to justify a subscription.
