What it is
Clueso turns a rough screen recording into a finished product video and a written guide. You record yourself clicking through something and talking, and it cleans up the narration, removes the stumbles, adds zooms and callouts, and produces a step-by-step article from the same take.
Why it's different
Producing both formats from one recording is the useful trick. Most teams write the help article and film the video separately, and the second one never gets updated. It is aimed squarely at software product and support teams, which is worth knowing before you evaluate it: the pricing and the features assume a company rather than a person, and there is no real hobbyist tier. It also cannot rescue a recording in which you did the wrong thing on screen.
How people use it
Product walkthroughs and release notes. Support documentation that has to exist as both video and text. Onboarding material that changes often enough that re-filming is the bottleneck. Script the click path before recording rather than after: the tool fixes how you said it, not what you showed.
