About Wonder Dynamics
What it is
Wonder Dynamics replaces an actor in ordinary footage with an animated CG character. It detects the performer, tracks their motion and the camera, matches the lighting, and outputs the separate elements alongside the result, including the animation, the clean plate and the camera track, so a studio can take them into its own software.
Why it's different
It automates the expensive middle of a visual effects pipeline. Motion capture, tracking, rotoscoping and lighting matching normally mean a suit, a stage and a team, and this produces a usable version from a single camera. That is a real change in what a small production can attempt. It is aimed at professionals and priced for them, it needs footage shot with it in mind, and the output is a strong starting point that an artist still finishes rather than a one-click film.
How people use it
Independent films and shorts with creature or robot characters. Previsualisation and pitch material. Commercials needing a CG character on a real set. Shoot for it deliberately, with clean separation between performer and background, even lighting and a locked or simply moving camera, because the results depend far more on the footage than on the settings.
