About QuillBot
What it is
QuillBot rewrites text in different styles, alongside grammar checking, summarising, citation help and a plagiarism check. The paraphraser is what it is known for.
Why it's different
Rewriting a sentence you cannot get right is a real need, and it does that quickly and well. It has to be said plainly that a large part of its use is academic, where rephrasing someone else's work to avoid detection is plagiarism regardless of which tool did it, and universities treat it exactly that way. Used honestly on your own writing it is genuinely useful. The free tier is limited enough to push you towards paying quickly.
How people use it
Rewriting your own sentence that will not come out right. Adjusting tone between formal and plain. Shortening text to fit a limit. Summarising something long. Use it on writing you wrote, because running someone else's text through a paraphraser is the use it is best known for and the one that gets people thrown off courses.
