About Cronlet
What it is
Cronlet is a scheduling service for AI agents. An agent can create its own recurring tasks in plain language, such as every fifteen minutes or weekdays at nine, and receive a callback with the result, so it can react and schedule follow-up work without anyone writing cron syntax or running a server.
Why it's different
Letting the agent schedule itself is the actual idea, and it fills a real gap: agents are good at deciding what should happen next and have nowhere to put it, so agent scheduling usually ends up hard-coded by a developer instead. Handing that to the agent makes self-maintaining workflows possible. It is infrastructure for developers rather than a product for anyone else, the free tier keeps only a week of history, and an agent that can schedule its own work can also schedule far too much of it.
How people use it
Agents that monitor an endpoint or a feed on a schedule. Content and reporting pipelines that run themselves. Follow-up tasks created in response to an earlier result. Cap what an agent may schedule before letting it schedule anything at all, because a loop that creates its own follow-ups is the failure mode this design invites.
