About Limitless
What it is
Limitless records your day. It offers a small wearable and an application that capture conversations and meetings, then transcribe them and make them searchable, so you can ask what was said and when.
Why it's different
Perfect recall of your own conversations is a genuinely useful idea and the technology now works. The reason to think carefully is that it records other people, usually people who did not choose it: continuous recording raises consent obligations that are strict in the UK and much of Europe, and a device capturing everyone around you all day is a different proposition from a meeting notetaker people can see. The social cost is real even where the legal position is satisfied.
How people use it
Recalling what was agreed in conversations. People who cannot take notes while talking. Accessibility where memory or hearing makes recall difficult. Tell people you are recording, every time, because the technology makes it effortless and the obligation to ask is entirely unchanged by that.
